U14 footballers make a final!

posted 18 May 2014, 14:43 by Garret Byrne
It was a successful weekend for our U14 footballers, as two wins from the weekend's two matches see us through to either a League Divisional Final or a Shield Final.
A superb win over Clarinbridge on Thursday, was followed by a concession by Claregalway on Sunday, and sees Kinvara level points with Craughwell in joint second place. With Athenry already securing a League Final berth, we assume it will be a play-off between Kinvara and Craughwell to see who joins them. This is to be confirmed.
The loser of such a playoff will have the consolation of a Shield final, with the other spot still up for grabs between Clarinbridge, Claregalway B and St. Gabriels.
- 1st and 2nd place play in divisional league final, with 3rd and 4th play in divisional shield final.
- there are four divisions altogether in our grade. The winners of each division final, with play in the county semi-finals.
