U13s hurlers travel to Castledaly

posted 11 Jun 2014, 13:33 by Garret Byrne
Kinvara U13 hurlers face a key crunch game tomorrow as they travel to play St. Thomas' in this round 4 U13 B Hurling Championship tie.

Our opponents have had an impresssive start to their campaign. They have scored solid wins over Ahascragh-Fohenagh and Tommie Larkins, while were unlucky in their defeat to TAD. A win for them tomorrow is vital, and will push them right into the championship slots and above Kinvara. They also have the advantage of home venue and that is always a plus at any grade.

The Kinvara have been somewhat fortunate in their results - although we battled well in our matches, all three matches could easily have been three defeats, instead of the two wins and a draw. The Kinvara lads will need to have a flawless 40 minute performance this time around if we are going to get a result from this one. Playing away from home is never easy and our matches with St. Thomas' have always been tough tight affairs.

Hunger will be the key in this match. Both South Galway sides will want to win, so a cracking match in store.
