Well done to all in Clarinbridge GAA on winning the All-Ireland Club title yesterday in Croke Park. Things didnt look too hot for them after twenty minutes and they down 0-9 to 0-3, and not really in the game. However their performance changed and with the switch of the two Kerins brothers, they actually drew level by half-time.
They completely outplayed their opponents O'Loughlins Gaels in the second half and amazingly they won quite easily at the end by 2-18 to 0-12. It didnt look like that earlier on!
And it didnt look like that earlier on in the Gaway group stages, where they lost games to Portumna and Kinvara, beat Killimordaly, and coming back to sneak a draw with Beagh, in order to qualify for the play-offs.
However, their performance from 20mins on yesterday was a masterclass in hurling, when they outscored the Kilkenny lads by 2-15 to 0-3.
Credit to all involved in Clarinbridge club down through the years. And although this is their senior team, the foundation of this success was laid 10, 20 and 30 years ago in their juvenile structure.
