Our young boys of Kinvara GAA have had a busy past week.
Last Sunday started with our annual registration day and over 125 lads were registered on the day. They were all delighted heading off wth their new gear bag and cool beanie hat! Some of the new registered boys in junior and senior infants got their Kinvara training top, togs and socks.
Tuesday was our first "big" evening in the pitch with our U6s, U8s and U10s hurling academies all turning up from 6pm to 7pm.
Thursday saw the beginning of our football coaching, and again our U6's, U8's and U10s football academies were up in the pitch being put through their paces.
On top of all that, our U12 footballers also started their season with a lively session in the pitch on Thursday. Our U12 hurlers were also very busy. They started the week last Sunday with training, and then yesterday travelled to Ballindereen to play the locals in a challenge. All the lads played well, but it was the Ballindereeen lads who came out on top at the end.
Our U14 hurlers are another busy bunch. They had a light training session on Friday evening, and then yesterday they travelled to Kiltormer to play them in Round 2 of the Toddie Byrne Feile Cup. After a monster battle, the Kinvara lads won by 1-9 to 2-3.
To complete the age groups, our U16s also trained during the week, with most of them also training with the minors too.
A busy week, and its only just begun!
