Busy on the Juvenile hurling front

All age-groups are now fully up and running and in several locations!

At present our junior and senior infants have two sessions done (plus an open day) and will hope to hit the outdoors next Tuesday at 6pm if weather permitting. Otherwise it will be in the Community Centre for another week. Hopefully, the weather will be good, cos we hear that the Community Centre is getting a good pounding from them!

Our first class lads have done 4 weeks already, and yesterday they tasted the outdoors when they trained on the astroturf. The rain came down towards the end, but these young lads are made of hardy stuff!

Our Under 10 squad are flying at present. They have already done 5 session in the Community Centre concentrating on eye to ball co-ordination. They have also done 2 sessions in the astroturf and feedback is that they are flying it!

The Under 12 hurlers train on the Sundays at 5pm and have 7 sessions behind them at this stage on the astroturf. Word on the street is that training is going well, and that their attitude and discipline is an example to all.

The Under 14's have lots of speed training done at this stage, and last week hit the pitch for training. Although they lost last weekend to Gort in the Brendan Linnane Cup, they showed good effort, and although much to improve, they are definetly going in the right direction.

The under 16's have also been very busy. These lads are competing in Grade A this year so the standard is quite high. Their winter circuit training has gone well, and they will have a chance to monitor progress later this evening when they play Tubber in a challenge.
So, all go!
