Kinvara teams play four competitive matches over the next four days, making it a very busy Easter weekend indeed.
First up are John Linnane's Junior B hurlers as they open their league campaign in a tie against Beagh in Beagh this evening at 6:30pm.
Our U14 hurlers then on Sunday morning (switched from Saturday) take on Clarinbridge in Clarinbridge at 11am. This Clarinbridge side are very talented and won last years U13 A Championship, aswell as the U12 A championship two years ago. Our lads will have a tough battle ahead of them, but will no doubt show plenty of fighting spirit and battle til the end and not give up.
Also on Sunday morning our senior hurlers travel up to Gort to take on the home side in their fourth senior hurling league tie. This should prove a lively contest as both sides will be needing to show good form ahead of their opening championship round later in month (fixed for weekend 28-29 April). Five months ago there was a huge gap between both our seniors, as Gort were after lifting the County Cup, and Kinvara losing their relegation final. What will Sunday bring?
Finally, on Monday our minor hurlers travel to Ballindereen to take on Ballindereen in their group opener. Kinvara have a couple of injuries and will find the going tough against the opposition, but still if they perform to their potential, then should prevail. But only if!
