A massive game ahead for Kinvara Minor A hurlers tomorrow evening (Friday 18th) in Ballindereen as they face Gort in this last group match. Both sides are already qualified for the quarter-finals, but there is still a huge amount to play for here. The loser of this match will finish fourth in the group, and will end up having a quarter-final meeting with the firm favourites Turloughmore. This Turloughmore side won All-Ireland U14 Feile four years ago, won the U16A title two years ago, and won this Minor A title last year. Both sides will want to avoid this!

 

A win for Kinvara will see us top the group on ten points, and a meeting with Loughrea in the quarters, while a draw will see us come second place and a match with Cappataggle in the quarters.
Both Kinvara and Gort will be well known to each other, with many being teammates in Gort CS. The two sides met twice in the U16A Championship two years ago, with Kinvara winning the first day, while Gort scored a comprehensive win the second day out.
Kinvara are the only team undefeated so far in the championship, and will need a serious improvement if that record is to stay intact. The camp is reporting a few niggly injuries but all are expected to be fit to tog out at least.  

 
This local derby game will be the match of the championship so far, and we urge all Kinvara GAA supporters, young and old, to come along and urge the lads on.
