Kinvara senior hurlers start their Relegation battle tomorrow evening as we face Castlegar in Clarinbridge at 5:30pm (Sunday 21st Sept).

But how does the relegation work?

RELEGATION GROUPS
Well, there are six teams in trouble, with it split into two groups of three sides:
Group A: Castlegar, Kiltormer, Kinvara.
Group B: Padraig Pearses, St. Thomas, Liam Mellows.
In the group, each team plays the other two teams. 
The top finishing team (1st) are safe (note if all teams finish with a win each, then it goes down to scoring differences).

RELEGATION SEMI-FINALS
The other two teams (2nd and 3rd) play the corresponding two teams in the other group, with the second placed team playing the opposite third placed team.
The two winners of these two matches are safe.

RELEGATION FINAL
The two losers of the semi-finals face each other in the Relegation Final.
Winner is safe.
Loser drops to Intermediate for 2015.
